A big challenge in our classroom is giving every student the opportunity to learn and grow with material and content that is exactly at their level - not too easy and not too hard. In a full class setting this can be difficult or impossible. The ipads will give students a chance to engage with material that is specifically at their own level of development. It will allow us to break into small groups and offer new and engaging instruction opportunities that are self-paced and meet students where they are. There are a growing number of applications and websites that deliver content in fun and engaging ways, but right now we do not have a means to access them. These ipads will help us move beyond textbooks and begin to explore a larger world of science.
