My self-contained students need additions to their classroom library. These scholastic textbooks will allow them a better variety of stories to select from during their reading class instead of pre-chosen ones out of their textbooks. It will motivate them to read as these stories are interesting to them. My social skills students also need to practice what they are learning in class in ways other than just pencil and paper. The social skills games will allow the students to understand the consequences to actions and give them the opportunity to practice these same social skills with their classmates in a game. They also can use the bean bag chairs as a cool down area to relax and cool down when they need a break due to frustration or a reward for completing their work.
