My 19 students come from low to middle income economic backgrounds. Many of my students struggle in mathematics. They need manipulatives to help make the abstract concrete. The tens frames manipulatives that I have requested will greatly benefit my students. They will be able to gain a better understanding of strategies for adding and subtracting and in place value. All students will be able to actively participate in the lessons using the magnetic tens frames boards. They will be able to work in small groups using the tens frame trains. All of this will help increase my students overall math abilities.
