I have 22 wonderfully amazing students in my classroom. I am a first year teacher, which is already a struggle, but my kids have little to no support at home. Most of children hold individual education plan's or are ELL. They do not read at home and have no ambition to read in school. The language barrier between my students and their parents isn't their concern. I am trying to promote a love of reading early on, because that is where it all begins.
