Virtual reality can give my students the opportunity for amazing new adventures that they might never have the chance to experience. It provides visualizations that aren’t possible In the traditional classroom and lets them explore different realities. By wearing a VR headset, students who have physical impairments can participate at the same level as their peers, with the same level of involvement that facilitates growth and learning. Traditional teaching methods are not the most effective way to reach students who must use visualizations to communicate. Many students with autism have connections to the world through pictures, which can limit their interactions and learning. VR will give them the type of experience they need for optimal learning. VR technology can create amazing experiences that could never be “lived” in the real life. Students will definitely feel more motivated to learn with the use of this technology.
