I teach children at several levels. They range from advanced learners to students with special learning needs. The different types of seating will help ALL my students with their specific needs, and it will give them a safe place that is all theirs. This gives them ownership over their learning and classroom. The Zenergy Ball Chairs will let the students wiggle while learning. If a regular chair isn't their cup of tea, my students will be able to change seats without missing a beat and sit where it suits them best. Some students learn better while standing or being on their knees; they don't prefer chairs at all. The Mobile Stand Up Desk will help these students feel like this classroom was made for them too. Other students need to move and rock while learning while some need to just shake their foot. Active Learning Wobble Stools will help some students feel successful while rocking and learning how to divide fractions at the same time. Last but not least, there are students who need to be on the floor to be engaged and successful. Laptop Bed Trays can be exactly what they need. The trays can keep our technology safe, or it can be used to get students working together while having a hard surface to work on. Our class engages in calendar time, and these Laptop Bed Trays can be used for students to get on the floor and work the "Problem of the Day" cooperatively. I love when my students feel at home in my classroom, and flexible seating will do just that. It doesn't matter to me if they prefer sitting on the floor, using a lap desk, or wobbling in a stool at a typical desk. As long as they are comfortable and learning-- I'm in!!
