Having shoulder rests for our violin and viola students and rock stops for our cellists will allow them to continue to advance and enhance their musicianship. Advanced concepts like vibrato and shifting are nearly impossible without these tools. Bow hold helpers will help struggling students develop better technique to grow as musicians. Shoulder rests, rock stops, and bow hold helpers are essential for the level of musicianship my students are working to achieve. My students are having difficulty playing for long periods of time without these tools due to improper technique, which is causing tired muscles, back strain, and sliding instruments. Students will be able to learn more advanced concepts with less fatigue using these materials.
