Hello! I have some of the most vibrant, excited first graders ever. I have 15 general education students and 6 special education students. My special education students are the characters of the room! There disabilities range from Autism to developmentally delayed. However they do not let anything get in their way. They love to learn, play, have fun, and grow. It touches my heart to watch my general ed kids help my special ed kids and watch them learn and teach each other. These kids love using technology to learn. They love to use the smartboard and computers to manipulate words and learn to read. Ipads would be great for independent work and would really target my special ed kids.
