Kids need art. It is really that simple. I work at a school that has many different types of programs serving children preschool to 8th grade. It is an all inclusion Asperger model. The common thread through the majority of our school children, is that they do not have enough exposure to the arts. I am new to this building and would like to see the arts thrive here. Children need to have joy and creativity in their lives each day. We as a staff are committed to having each child leave our school with a firm foundation for being prepared for going to high school and beyond.We want them to feel confident in reading, writing and mathematics. We are involved with the Arts Impact which infuses art into the curriculum. This is our way of infusing the arts . This school year we are focused on viual arts and theater. Next year, we will do dance and visual arts. We need materials to make the art!

About my class
