Students will use these texts as classroom copies so that they can transfer their reading and learning at home to the classroom. My students attend school in NYC where many of them commute for several hours a day by subway and bus. These paper copies will make it so that students can have a text in class to support and continue the reading they've done online (or in a remote learning platform) at home. The texts can then also be transported to other classrooms for interdisciplinary use in both the literature classroom and their science, math, and engineering classrooms. The annotations in the text support a deeper understanding of the story with technical information that also reflects their other courses.

About my class
