Most of my students come from low socioeconomic homes. Many migrated to America. Many have one parent, live with multiple people in their small homes, move frequently, help out with multiple siblings and/or help support their families. My hope is that they see beyond their home lives and see a better life ahead, with high school graduation and college or trade school.
