My students are mainly multicultural middle class students predominately Asian and Caucasian ages 11-14. Most of them have cell phones and current technology at home. They are kind, mostly hard working, but lack intrinsic motivation. The school they attend is a fantastic school with dedicated teachers and high state test scores Although our school was renovated in 2004 they lack air-conditioning, individual sinks, hot water, science laboratories, and does not contain the current technology or software it desperately needs. We have only 1 computer lab that is mainly only accessible to elective students.
