My students are passionate and high energy kids, but are labeled as underachievers and are placed in reading and math intervention classes. Most of them come from homes where neither parents finished high school. They have great potential, but require a lot of discipline and guidance to be the students and citizens that they can be. They attend a school that is in program improvement, but is making excellent changes to make it a place where all students can achieve success.
