My students live and go to school in a economically depressed neighborhood in New York. Their daily life is very different from the experiences you or I had growing up. One of my daily goals is to ensure that their school experience is everything it should be. One challenge I have is motivating my students to want to learn, to get them excited about knowing something that they didn't know before and to present the material in a way that can compete with ipods and Call of Duty. Tablets would give my students the opportunity to get away from their desks, off their outdated computers and experience education that is as challenging as it is fun.
