We are a school in California with a diverse population of students. We are a K-6 elementary with about a 50% second language speaking population, and varied socio-economic backgrounds. We are a Title 1 school, and many of our students do not have access to computers at home. This will give students the much needed ability to work with technology for solving problems in the classroom setting. My class has a couple of special education students that are mainstreamed, as well as about 2/3 second language learners, with 3 languages represented. Having the opportunity to work with technology will boost my students' confidence, as well as engage them in an interactive learning experience.
