My students are no different than the majority of us. They need to be engaged and excited to learn in order to maximize their potential. They live in a technology heavy environment where a large percentage of their time is spent on their smart phones, computers, and tablets - all outside of the classroom. Why do they run to these devices (that is if their family is able to provide)? Because they are entertained, connected, and they are engaged! Whether we like it or not, this is the world of our youth. Our district has brought 1:1 technology to the classrooms. I enjoy the creative aspect and want to take advantage of what has been provided by taking projects to the next level. Students need to be introduced to a variety of projects which helps to keep them engaged and excited about education!
