My students are 10th graders performed at or above level on a given math/reading test. My job was to develop an enrichment program that would challenge these students to grow even more. These students are very outgoing and creative, so this project is giving them an outlet to nurture skills of communication, project development, and teamwork in a safe, almost fail proof environment. Our school is a rural K-12 school in Alabama, so the opportunity for collaboration across grade levels is easily accessible and helps build positive relationships between students of multiple ages.
