Soooo, I am sure you have all heard that going back to school this year will be quite different that years in the past. This year my students will not be able to use community school supplies. Normally I try to provide supplies for my students to use communally in a way that is fair to everyone. I always feel bad when one kid has a 64 pack of crayons while another only has an 8 pack. Did that ever happen to you? Crayons can be a status symbol to a 6 year old, especially to those who have so little. This year I would still like to implement similar school supplies, but just not in a communal way. I am hoping that individual supplies will also teach my students responsibility about not losing their belongings. I can't tell you how many "red crayons" go missing along with glue stick caps - must be a ghost who takes them. Anyway, thank you so much for reading my project and I hope you will chose to donate to my amazing class of kids!!!!
