The students at PLDMSFI are predominantly from lower socioeconomic households. They have very little access to books and literature outside of the school environment. The book closet from which English teachers at PLDMSFI must teach novels is in dire need of these new and exciting titles I am requesting to keep students engaged in reading. Students who develop necessary reading skills early in life are much more likely to become responsible and productive members of society as adults. What better way to influence a child's education than to provide them a good book to read? Please consider a donation to help us teach our students to love to read.
