Technology is our future. Children are also our future. They are curious and eager to learn new technology. Coding is a skill that allows children to interact with their environment. My students have already enjoyed learning basic coding on web-based computer programs. This year I want to expand their coding experience and make it more interactive and hands on. I want to increase their collaborative problem solving skills. With the use of Ozobots and Osmo bases and games, my students will work collaboratively to solve problems in a fun and interactive learning experience. It will increase their knowledge of coding and promote logical thinking skills. The Ozobots are tiny robots that the students will program to move around through a sequence of color codes. The Osmos will be used by my younger students with iPads. The Osmo base and games allow the student to have hands-on interactive play with the iPad and fosters creative problem solving skills at the same time. Your support of my project will help my students become better 21st century learners.
