I work with a dynamic, diverse group of 3rd graders who are always eager to learn and take on new challenges each day. They have loving, supportive families who do the best they can to make sure they are growing into happy, successful individuals. I am excited each day to come to school to talk about books, help them grow as readers and writers, take their lead in collaborative group projects in science and social studies, and guide them in rich discussions on important topics. My school district currently has very little funding for arts education for our elementary schools. It is up to me to provide experiences in visual and performing arts each week. My students love these experiences and have an innate desire to express themselves through making art and music. My students are a joy to teach and I want to continue to provide them with the best possible education. They are our future.
