First graders need all the reading support they can get! My students have difficulties understanding the decoding process needed to read basic text. With the use of the iPads, I will be able to have students independently practice skills they are learning, as I work with smaller groups on their particular area of need. My students need extra support to be successful in the learning process. My students will benefit from iPad learning while developing expertise with digital literacies through rigorous reading, composing, and viewing of online materials and other digital texts. Digital literacies provide great promise in addressing the individual needs of learners when used to differentiate instruction This will give my students the ability to see their successes immediately and give them that feeling of pride within their accomplishments.
