Our school district has invested in many curriculum areas, but not science at the elementary level. It is our hope to provide an opportunity for our students to go deeper into the world of engineering. We offer a great deal of breadth with the curriculum we currently use and these kits would then provide depth. The EiE kits would offer current information and ideas to generate enthusiasm for engineering and other STEAM-based careers. The field of engineering is one that we have a hard time finding materials to engage students in meaningful ways. The engineering EiE kits will offer a full quarter worth of project-based engineering activities for our 3rd-5th grade students.
