Many dance students come from low income families, are English language learners, and are a part of the special education program. Since our school is a charter school, we have the luxury of maintaining our elective programs, and this year, dance is new to our school. The students enjoy dance and are truly interested in leaning new dance styles, characteristics, and the history of dance. Our elective program is what separates our school from the majority, as most are unable to maintain these special programs in today's economic crisis.
