My students are members of the Latino Student Union; they are an underrepresented population in a school with a very high socio-economic status. They are working hard in IB classes to get ahead but the playing field is not equal. Most of them do not have computers or Internet access at home. They have to go to the library to get online assignments done, and our school library closes at 4. Many of these students have single working parents and have family/work responsibilities at home.
