Del Lago Academy was opened in Fall 2013 to fill a need: provide scholars with an application of school to their real world. We are a small biotech pathway school in Escondido; our first graduating class will be crossing the stage June 2016. These are public high school students who, dared to take a new path. These students challenge themselves everyday and in every class; they listen to guest speakers from the local health and biotech community, they take field trips to see health practices in action, they take part in job shadowing and internships.
