Welcome to my site. I’m so excited that you are a supporter of students’ learning. So am I and I am very grateful for Donors Choose. I am a teacher at a high poverty school where 97% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. That is one of the biggest challenges for my students. The other is that they lack basic English skills. Some come from other countries and English is their second language but many were born in the United States and just have not had the exposure to language that they need. Either way, my biggest job is to help them learn to read, write, and think in English. My students are so eager to learn that they make my job easy. With your help providing resources, my students can’t help but succeed. Thank you in advance for your generous consideration of my students’ needs.
