My students are adorable and hard-working residents of San Francisco. Each of them have a particular learning disability such as Specific Learning Disability, Autism, Other Health Impairment, Intellectually Disabled, or Visually Impaired. A few of them are non-verbal meaning they do not speak and mostly echo words they hear. Despite their learning differences, they love being mainstreamed in the general education classroom, interacting with their peers, playing with the class fish, and running around during recess. Wallenberg High School is a diverse community school in the Western Addition District of San Francisco.
