My students are wonderfully resilient, committed young people who wish for futures full of success and opportunities. They live in a world, though, where opportunities like graduating from high school, having a career, and going to college aren't always available, and the realities of inner-city life in Illinois are harsh and unforgiving. These issues that my students face on a daily basis make me admire their commitment to their families and our community even more, and I want to be able to give my students the skills they need to progress towards a life full of success to help them uplift themselves.

About my class
