I work in a low income, title 1 school. My classroom consists of some special education students and some general education students. I also have English Language learners of varying levels. I try to incorporate technology into my lessons in order to make learning fun for my students. Because a majority of the students are of low socio-economic background, the only access they have to certain technologies is in the classroom. I teach my students to type, do research, as well as have them read/ listen to stories online, practice mathematical concepts, and play educational games. These types of technologies are not available to them in other facets of their daily lives outside of school. The technology I ask for benefits my students and their academics.
