These book sets will allow my students to explore their identity and cultures, our society, bilingualism, dualisms, growing up, family, and so much more, like geography and history! Our Spanish Language Arts program is in desperate need of high quality chapter book sets. My students are ready and willing to learn and read in Spanish, but my middle school must have Spanish book sets that inspire and ignite a passion for reading! This donation will improve my students self-esteem, enhance their understandings of themselves and the world around them while enabling me to be enthusiastic about what I'm teaching! These books will be launching points for Spanish Language Arts tasks. For example, Reading: author's purpose, themes, word choice, figurative language; Writing: developing 5 paragraph narrative, informative, and persuasive essays, doing reasearch, poetry; Speaking and Listening: debates, project presentations. Having access to high quality texts are essential to a high quality Spanish Language Arts class!
