My students are in an area that is surrounded by crime. They must witness events that take place in the neighborhood that some adults would not be able to handle. many of my students have lost close relatives and even parents to violence and other issues related to poverty. We have a high pregnancy rate, yet a really good attendance rate. Our students love coming into the building. We are a family and they know it. They are safe here. We have very few altercations in our building and a very supportive parent population. No school deserves the support more than Benjamin Franklin!
