I have a classroom full of amazing students who are in a dual immersion program. Half of my students are English only students and the other half are EL students. Every day, these students are challenged to excel in a dual immersion classroom and they are doing an excellent job. They proudly show their understanding of the language in many ways. One of those ways is by reading Spanish children's books. They often take books out to recess to practice their reading and that just amazes me every time! They love reading because they are able to show their success not only to others but to themselves and in two languages!
