My students are 2nd Graders living in the Midwest. My students are challenged by a variety of life circumstances, but are motivated to accomplish great things and they all love school. We have a significant amount of gains to make in reading and math for all students to be proficient and this will happen. I believe my students can make these gains by listening to reading every day with high interest books. They need to find the love and joy in reading and these books will help them begin to become more confident readers. They need that motivation to start wanting to read more in order to push themselves to be the best readers they can be and learn to love reading.

About my class
