My students attend a school in urban Pennsylvania. They work incredibly hard to escape their difficult situations and love to read. Unfortunately, due to our focus on objectives and skills, we don't always have many opportunities to enjoy a book and discuss ethics and morality. Due to a new course offering, we now have this chance three days a week. However, I need the right books to make this a possibility! My students devoured "A Child Called It" and they're hungry for another emotional book. Many said "A Child Called It" changed their lives by making them more understanding and tolerant of the difficulties others face. Please help me provide more teaching moments with this fantastic memoir of the beauty and quandaries of human existence that will surly give my students a reading experience unlike any they have had.
