My students are inquisitive 5th graders at a k-5 elementary school in California. It is a racially, culturally and ethnically diverse community of students. 92% of our school population qualifies for free or reduced lunch and 59% are English Language Learners. My fifth graders are a wonderful group that have shown a great amount of growth since the beginning of the year. They care so much about understanding and persevering through all challenging concepts.
