The students we cater are at or below the poverty line, most of them have been homeless at one time or another. 100% are on free and reduced lunch. The side of town that the school is on has a very high transiency rate. The school is right across the street from a temporary budget housing complex, which is where many of our students live. We cater to a high Hispanic population where english is the second language to most. With everything that my students have going on in their personal lives, they come to class ready to learn and try their best not to let what happens outside of the classroom effect what happens in the classroom.
