I am in my third year of looping and have followed the same students since Kindergarten. My class never had much, so this Elmo would be such a great gift for the entire class! The students come from low-income, single-family households and don't have much. The students were a challenge in the first year to the point where I wanted to quit. Although, I stayed for 3 years now! I love my students and they're my joy! It is because of them, I'm still here. My students are sweet, funny, and better behaved. My philosophy of teaching is to instill quality traits such as: respect, love, kindness, and responsibility. Our school is a new charter that opened up two years ago. I'm a founding teacher and started teaching there from the very beginning, and we're now going into our third year. Our enrollment has tripled since the first year! We have very limited resources, I had to pay a lot out of my own pocket (ie. school supplies, butcher paper, office supplies, a rug, etc.)
