Please help! I teach 8 self-contained students. They all have Individualized Education Plans. They all receive free lunch. They are ages 9-12. They enjoy learning and helping each other. I've taught 4 of them four 4 years now and 4 of them for only two years. This year, our school changed from k-5 to 5th and 6th. I've been teaching for 20 years. They try so hard to communicate with the two nonverbal students. We've tried teaching sign language. They remember how to sign the words "no" and "sit down in chair". They all have cognitive disabilities. One of my students is blind in one eye. He has problems seeing numbers in math and also with reading. Finally, five of my students are in speech therapy. Please help us!
