I am planning a class book study in my African American Studies classes with the book, Stamped: A Remix of the National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning. This book explores the source of racist ideas and how it impacts our world today. I would like a class set of books for students to be able to have their own copies so they can read at home as well as in the classroom. Nelson Mandela once said, Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I believe this book study will engage my students to think critically about our society, and empower them to generate positive change.
