This camera will benefit my 135 seventh grade math students. I teach all levels from regular to advanced. My math classes are a diverse population both in skill and culture. This school corporation is a growing corporation with one of the lowest per pupil grants for state funding. All of the technology funds allocated in the past few years have gone to increase the number of computers to be used for state standardized testing. Little or no funding is available for improving technology in the classroom. My students are eager learners who enjoy sharing their talents. They would enjoy getting the opportunity to display their skills and teach one another using the document camera. My students are not exposed to state of the art technology in our school. They may use some at home, but not necessarily for learning or non-recreational purposes.
