A large percentage of our students come from non-English speaking countries mainly in the Middle East and Latin America. Imagery is a common language that can be used to captivate student interest and gain participation in class activities. The school they attend is an inner city public school with a changing population. Affluent students are leaving to suburbs, and lower income immigrant families are replacing them. With lower incomes, the school has difficulties generating revenue for educational technology such as projectors and even WiFi.
