I have 18 hard-working and intelligent students. Our school serves a predominantly low-income community. Our school provides a challenging education to all students regardless of their background. The 18 awe-inspiring students in my classroom come to school everyday with excitement and eagerness to learn. Even though some students spend late nights helping take care of younger siblings they still come to school in the morning with their homework completed and reading log signed. When students vote on their activity of choice for Fun Friday, I am always surprised with their choices. They have chosen Google Earth exploration time, projecting a Khan Academy video and solving practice problems, watching BrainPop, Jr. videos and taking practice quizzes, or freeze dance. Either way, they are happy, engaged, and loving what they are doing and learning in school.
