A document camera is a virtual essential for students receiving instruction remotely. With my district trying to meet the needs of all students, a document camera would aid in this capacity. With students at home still needing specific reading interventions, the document camera would allow for these interventions to take place. A document camera would enhance the reading experience virtually. When it is time for students to have their reading group, a book or materials could be displayed under the document camera. While this could never replace in-person one on one instruction, this can allow for needed instruction to happen.
