I have a class of 18 kindergarten students. Our school is a very high-need, low-income setting, and the children thrive on attention, learning, and structure. Most are Spanish speaking and learning English, and many help teach their parents English through their joy of reading at home. I have a special take-home library for them to select a book to read at home and return the next day, and the books are depleted as well as damaged. I greatly need to spruce up the selection with books they can independently read!

About my class
