Our school services children from different countries, neighborhoods and backgrounds. They come to us sometimes hungry, under dressed and needing comfort. They come to school with the desire to learn and grow. It is hard to meet some of their needs because our schools are underfunded. My students are autistic and vary from verbal to nonverbal. They need the opportunity to experience different worlds through the magic of books.
