Our school is a culturally diverse Title I school with many economically disadvantaged students. We also serve oral deaf and hard of hearing, speech and language impaired, special education, and a large number of English learners. Many of my first second grade students have very limited access to any kind of technology other than cell phones. They also have few opportunities for outdoor play and exercise other than at school. Even so, they are eager to learn and thoroughly enjoy opportunities to try new things.
