We are a first grade classroom within a K-8 school, consisting of almost 1,000 students. The majority of our students come from low-income families. Most of our students start the school year without the basics (a backpack, crayons, pencils, etc.). We strive as a community, school, and as educators, to give our students as much as we can. However, with the ever growing need, it's sometimes difficult to provide students with everything we hope that they could have, especially when it comes to the financial aspect of it. The one thing about our students, is that they are very appreciative. The little that we can provide for them, they are 100% grateful. And if you were able to help them, I know they would be above and beyond thankful!
