I have a group of the most eager, motivated, kind-hearted, and engaged students in the world. I work at a high poverty school, but my students do not let their circumstances affect their attitudes. We are constantly discussing our long-term goals and what it will take to achieve them. I am dedicating myself to them, ensuring that they receive the quality education that they deserve. I want them to have all necessary resources to become successful citizens in the 21st century. My students read on a variety of different levels, but are able to comprehend above their current reading level when read to. In my opinion, reading to a child is one of the joys of parenthood. With this project I hope to give that to all students. We have a class pledge that includes words such as compassion, empathy, advocate, intelligent, curious and resilient. I am seeking all the resources I can get in order to help my students learn these values, truly living them
