Sometimes students need their own space, or need to have other options for seating. Many students like to stand or have the flexibility to move around instead of being confined to a regular chair. Instead of isolating them to the back of the room, this bar seating gives then an opportunity to engage in learning at a table, and that lets two students sit together. They can still work with a partner, but be able to move around. With the wheels on the bottom, this also is a table that can be moved around the room easily for partner work, group work, or center time.
